In this highly visible role, you'll own mission-critical systems that enable seamless, real-time communication experiences for healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.

This is more than a telecom engineering role-it's an opportunity to build scalable, high-performance communication platforms that directly support better healthcare outcomes. You'll leverage deep expertise in VoIP, SIP, and real-time media technologies to deliver highly available, ultra-low latency solutions while helping shape the future of connected healthcare.

What You'll be doing

As a technical leader, you will:

  • Architect and evolve the core audio and video communication infrastructure that powers our Connected Care ecosystem.

  • Design and operate highly available SIP routing platforms supporting real-time communications at scale.

  • Scale and optimize media servers, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), and signaling environments to ensure exceptional reliability and performance.

  • Build intelligent, low-latency call routing solutions that deliver seamless communication experiences.

  • Partner with software engineering teams to integrate voice and video capabilities into modern applications and services.

  • Investigate and resolve complex real-time communication challenges, including media quality issues, packet loss, latency, and network performance.

  • Drive technical strategy and establish engineering best practices for voice and video infrastructure.

  • Mentor engineers across the organization and serve as a subject matter expert in telecom and real-time communications technologies.

What you'll bring
  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting real-time voice and video communication systems.

  • Deep hands-on expertise with SIP and related telecommunications protocols.

  • Strong experience building and operating VoIP platforms in production environments.

  • Production-level experience with Kamailio or FreeSWITCH.

  • Experience developing backend services using .NET or Node.js/TypeScript.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network, signaling, and media delivery challenges.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing call-routing logic and automation using LUA.

  • Hands-on experience with WebRTC, STUN/TURN, and browser-based audio/video communications.

  • Familiarity with Asterisk platforms and deployments.

  • Strong ANSI C knowledge for low-level debugging, media processing, and infrastructure optimization.

  • Advanced proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.

Why Join Us?
  • Own and influence the communication platform strategy behind innovative Connected Care products.

  • Work on technologies that directly impact clinicians, caregivers, and patients around the world.

  • Tackle complex engineering challenges within real-time communications, networking, and distributed systems.

  • Collaborate with talented cross-functional teams driving the next generation of healthcare technology.

  • Make a meaningful impact while growing your technical leadership as a Principal Engineer.

If you're passionate about building world-class voice and video communication systems and want your work to improve healthcare experiences at scale, we'd love to hear from you.
