This position operates in a home-care setting, where you will visit patients in their residences to provide care tailored to their specific needs. You can expect to work a maximum of 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that accommodates our patients' needs. As a Certified Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of critical tasks, including:

• Welcoming patients upon arrival and preparing them for examinations or medical procedures.
• Accurately measuring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse to monitor patient conditions.
• Assisting healthcare providers with various clinical duties, including preparing examination rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Administering medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Collecting and organizing laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Conducting basic laboratory tests, such as urinalyses and blood glucose monitoring, to assist in early diagnosis and ongoing patient care.

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse range of patients, including individuals with chronic illnesses, those recovering from surgery, and older adults requiring assistance in managing their health at home. Developing positive rapport while maintaining a professional demeanor will be key to ensuring their comfort and trust in our care.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A detail-oriented mindset combined with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

While relevant certification is mandatory, candidates with prior experience in a home care or outpatient clinical setting will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a basic understanding of medical coding can be beneficial.
