Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse
Schedule
Day shift: 4x10 Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Job Description
The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse will provide specialized care for patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures. This role involves preparation and administration of medications, monitoring hemodynamics, and assisting with various cardiac procedures within the lab setting.
Responsibilities
  • Perform baseline measurements and administer cardiac ablation and mapping procedures.
  • Conduct cardioversion, conduction studies, and assist with the insertion/programming of Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators (AICDs) and pacemakers.
  • Monitor and manage patient wellbeing during procedures, including emergency medications and IV vasopressors administration.
  • Responsible for sheath removal and monitoring, as well as the use of vascular closure systems.
  • Utilize Micropace monitoring systems for ablations and ensure sterile scrub procedures are observed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Two years of experience in the Electrophysiology Lab or a comparable nursing role.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
  • New graduates accepted with relevant training or competencies.
  • Must possess an active New York state RN license.
  • Competency with phlebotomy and IV placement is required.
  • Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory.
