Irwin Airspace Command and Control (Desert Radio) section to deconflict fixed wing assets with Army aviation assets and counter-fire missions. * Process airspace plans from the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) and also develop airspace plans, as required. Track active Restricted Operating Zones (ROZ) and also create Close Air Support (CAS) ROZs for Airspace Control Order inclusion. * Facilitate low altitude requests from the TACPs to allow for CAS assets to fly under the coordinating altitude. * Read and understand the Military Grid Reference System and Global Area Reference System. * Utilize the Air Tasking Order and Master Air Attack Plan to track tasked missions and monitor missions. * Control air traffic in R-2502 and the surrounds and act as a Control and Reporting Center as needed. * Provide airspace familiarization briefings to Ft Irwin and Nellis personnel as required. Additionally, liaise with Ft Irwin ATC Facility, Ft Irwin G3 Aviation. DOD and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facilities to support flying operations. * Update and maintain ASM (Sundance) Continuity Book as required.
