Job description

Company Name: IG US Holdings, Inc.
Role: Technical Business Analyst, Custodial Projects
Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
tastytrade is investing in a significant evolution of its clearing and custody infrastructure - a multi-year initiative that spans regulatory licensing, back-office technology, and operational transformation. This work will expand tastytrade's capabilities in clearing, client fund custody, and next-generation product support.

The Technical Business Analyst - Custodial Projects will be embedded in this work from day one, sitting at the intersection of regulatory requirements, business operations, and system design. Your primary focus will be understanding the implications of regulatory and operational requirements and translating them into clear, actionable specifications that engineering and product teams can execute against.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements from legal counsel, NFA filings, and clearing agreements - and clearly articulate what they mean for system design and business operations
  • Develop and maintain process flows, data flow diagrams, and system interaction maps that reflect current and future-state clearing and custody architecture
  • Investigate gaps between tastytrade's current infrastructure and the target-state Non-Clearing FCM model, surfacing risks, dependencies, and edge cases early
  • Partner with engineering, product, compliance, and legal to define and validate requirements across each phase of the initiative
  • Maintain clear documentation of decisions made, open questions, and lessons learned throughout the initiative

Who You Are:

  • 3-6 years of experience in a business analyst, product analyst, or similar role within financial services, fintech, or a broker-dealer / FCM environment
  • NFA/CFTC experience is preferred. Candidates with equivalent regulatory experience or other domestic or international frameworks will be considered where they demonstrate strong regulatory acumen and a track record of developing domain expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory or operational requirements into clear written specifications, process documentation, and system design inputs
  • Experience working across legal, compliance, and technology teams in a cross-functional environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication - you write clearly, ask sharp questions, and surface ambiguity before it becomes a problem
  • Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Jira, or equivalent)

Company Perks + Benefits:

  • Performance Bonuses
  • Stock Purchase Options
  • Medical/Vision/Dental Benefits
  • 401k Plan
  • 20 Paid Vacation Days (plus an additional paid vacation day the month of your birthday!)
  • 10 Paid Sick Days
  • Gym Membership Reimbursement
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Pet Insurance
  • Wellness & Mental Health Programs
  • Charitable Donation Matching
  • Two Paid Volunteer Days Off
  • Daily catered lunch when in the office
  • Full kitchen with snacks and beverages
  • In-building gym
  • Shuttle to/from Metra

Salary Range:$115,00-$150,000
The actual salary offered will be based on the candidate's level of experience and qualifications.

Discretionary Performance Bonus: 8-12%of base salary based on individual and company performance.
