Forestry interns often engage in a variety of hands-on fieldwork, such as tree identification, data collection for forest inventories, measuring growth plots, and assisting with habitat assessments. They may also help with silvicultural treatments, trail maintenance, or invasive species monitoring, depending on the focus of the internship. Interns typically work under the supervision of experienced foresters and collaborate with other interns or field staff, gaining exposure to real-world forestry practices and land management challenges.
