About This Position
The Forensic Analyst - Corrections Intelligence Division works solely with the Investigation units
  • Provide Administrative and Technical Support to the Jail
  • Interact in a professional manner with customers (inmates and staff) to foster positive relationships
  • Listens to phone calls for targeted inmates only
  • Monitors texting and video calls for on targeted inmates
  • Provides phone calls and tracks movement of targeted inmates within the facility
  • Provides reports to investigations for court
  • Subpoena responses and ability to testify in court about call data

What You'll Need
Professional Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in digital forensics, preferably in a law enforcement, intelligence, or corrections setting
  • Direct experience using GrayKey and Cellebrite to extract, analyze, and report on digital evidence from mobile devices
  • Strong working knowledge of inmate communication platforms, including phone systems, messaging, and video visitation data
  • Experience identifying patterns, third-party contacts, or illicit behavior through communication analysis

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in forensic imaging, mobile data acquisition, and structured data analysis
  • Familiarity with evidence handling protocols, chain of custody, and court-admissible documentation
  • Skilled in forensic toolsets including Cellebrite UFED, GrayKey, Magnet AXIOM, and Oxygen Forensics
  • Ability to correlate digital evidence from multiple platforms, including inmate communications, call records, message logs, and device extractions

Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
  • Digital Forensics certifications (not required but nice to have) such as:
    • Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO) and Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA)
    • GrayKey Operator Certification (or equivalent experience)
    • GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) or equivalent (preferred)
  • ICSolutions will pay for certifications

Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of criminal justice procedures, corrections operations, and contraband interdiction
  • Ability to produce clear, concise analytical reports and testify as an expert in administrative or legal proceedings
  • Detail-oriented, with high integrity and adherence to evidence handling and privacy standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with investigative teams, facility intelligence officers, and external law enforcement

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain security clearances or jail access credentials
  • Availability for occasional travel or on-call support for high-priority investigations
  • Will work in Birmingham Alabama
