Role Summary

The two-year Graduate Program provides recent graduates with hands-on experience across a wide range of front, middle, and back-office functions, contributing to projects that support operations, financial activities, client engagement, and regulatory responsibilities. Depending on placement, participants may assist with audits, reporting, compliance, financial transactions, client onboarding, technology, risk management, trade execution, prime brokerage, and client services. In addition to practical experience, the program emphasizes professional development, offering exposure to industry practices, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration alongside experienced professionals.

Graduates are expected to start no later than September 2026.

The Operations - Foreign Exchange Foreign Exchange (FX) and Interest Rates (IR) Department plays a critical role in supporting the firm's capital markets activities by ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of FX and IR transactions and operational workflows. As part of a centralized Operations function, the team manages day-to-day trade support, reconciliation, and settlement processes, partnering closely with front office, finance, and risk teams to maintain the integrity and timeliness of operational activities. This department not only provides operational support and oversight to business units but also establishes the minimum required standards for processes and controls, reinforcing Marex's commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and operational excellence throughout its global footprint, while continuously enhancing processes through training, development, and the adoption of technology.

Purpose of Role

The Operations - Foreign Exchange and Interest Rates Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the US FX and IR Operations team, ensuring transactions and processes are executed accurately and efficiently. This role will focus on assisting with core operational tasks, reconciliations, and process execution, while providing additional capacity to a small team and enabling senior members to focus on oversight, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.

In today's fast-paced and evolving financial markets, efficient and well-controlled operational processes are essential to supporting trading activity and managing risk. By delivering accurate and timely operational support, the FX Operations and IR team helps ensure smooth IR transaction processing and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supported by training, development, and the adoption of technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day FX and IR operational activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with reconciliations and core operational processes, helping maintain the integrity and completeness of operational data.
  • Provide additional capacity to a small team through the execution of routine tasks, enabling senior team members to focus on oversight and issue resolution.
  • Develop a strong understanding of FX and IR operations processes and controls, applying this knowledge in daily activities and supporting long-term development within the team.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, supporting enhancements through training, standardization, and the use of technology to increase efficiency.
  • Stay informed on financial standards and industry best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges and regulatory bodies.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
