Job description

Diaz Anselmo & Associates P.A. is seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedLegal Assistant for our Evictions departmentto support attorneys handling residential eviction matters, including post-foreclosure, REO, and landlord-tenant cases.


What You'll Do:


  • Prepare, review, and file eviction-related legal documents, including complaints, motions, notices, and affidavits.
  • Manage case files and update information in firm and client systems to ensure timely case progression.
  • Coordinate hearings, court dates, lockouts, and other case-related activities.
  • Communicate with courts, clients, property managers, sheriffs, vendors, and internal departments regarding case status and deadlines.
  • Support attorneys with hearing preparation and case documentation.
  • Monitor case timelines, identify potential delays, and ensure compliance with client and court requirements.
  • Review billing information, fees, and costs for accuracy.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
  • Provide team support and collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case resolution.


What We're Looking For:


  • 2-4 years of Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience, preferably in evictions, foreclosure, creditor rights, real estate, or civil litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of legal document preparation and court filing procedures.
  • Experience with case management systems such as Perfect Practice, ICE, Tempo, ADR, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Self-motivated professional who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to perform standard office duties, including prolonged sitting, computer use, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
