Job description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Director to lead the Consumer Loss Forecasting function within Corporate Risk. The Consumer Loss Forecasting function is responsible for the development, execution, governance, and delivery of loss forecasts used in key enterprise processes including CCAR, CECL/ACL, Loss Forecasting, stress testing, and other risk management activities. In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of managers, analysts, and forecasting professionals responsible for consumer loss forecasting activities across multiple portfolios.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for forecasting processes supporting CCAR, ACL/CECL, Loss Forecasting, stress testing, and other enterprise forecasting requirements.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and controlled delivery of forecasting results used for regulatory, financial, and business decision-making purposes.
  • Oversee forecast governance, execution controls, issue management, and risk identification activities to ensure compliance with internal control and risk management requirements.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Risk, Finance, Technology, Model Risk Management, and line-of-business organizations to support forecasting needs and drive strategic priorities.
  • Lead the implementation of forecasting modernization initiatives, including process automation, cloud-based forecasting capabilities, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance forecast efficiency, scalability, transparency, and governance while reducing operational risk.
  • Provide executive-level communications and recommendations related to forecast results, emerging risks, portfolio performance, and forecasting assumptions.
  • Manage delivery against aggressive regulatory and business timelines while maintaining high standards of analytical rigor and operational excellence.
  • Develop organizational talent, succession plans, and leadership capabilities to ensure long-term sustainability of the forecasting function.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in credit risk, forecasting, quantitative analytics, finance, risk management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading managers and large, complex analytical organizations.
  • Deep understanding of forecasting methodologies, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives, process redesign efforts, and technology modernization programs.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex initiatives under demanding timelines and governance requirements.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$215,000.00 - $355,000.00
