Landscape Foreman

Alt's Operation

Verona, WI

$25 - $35/hr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Life, Retirement

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

Landscape Foreman | $25–$35/hr

Put your landscape experience to work leading your own crew, plant and grade properties into finished spaces you take pride in, and earn steady year-round pay.

-You already know how to run a landscape install.

-Now run your own crew.

-Turn bare ground into finished, planted spaces.

-Take pride in properties you helped transform.

-Earn steady, year-round pay with a growing team.

This is an experienced foreman role. You should already be trained in landscape installation and ready to lead a crew on day one.

What You'll Own
  1. Lead a landscape crew (up to two) installing plantings, grading, sod, mulch, and landscape features that transform a property.

  2. Turn landscape plans into finished installs, coordinating with designers and getting the details right the first time.

  3. Set the standard on site, keeping your crew coordinated, productive, and looking out for one another while running daily truck and equipment prep.

  4. Document the job with daily job-site updates so schedules, materials, and progress stay on track.

  5. Finish with pride, leaving every site clean, planted, and ready for the client to enjoy.

  6. Build the next generation by training and mentoring newer crew members in the craft.

  7. Keep clients covered all winter: when the snow flies, you and your crew clear commercial and residential properties. Winter snow response is on-call and can include nights, weekends, and holidays during storm events.

What You Bring

-Proven landscape foreman experience is required. This is not an entry-level or trainee position. You should come in already trained and able to run a crew with minimal oversight.

-Three to five years of landscape installation experience as a crew lead or foreman.

-Working knowledge of plant installation, grading, sod, mulch, and landscape feature installation.

-The ability to read landscape plans and coordinate with designers.

-Strong crew leadership and daily job-site documentation skills.

-A valid driver's license and a clean, insurable driving record.

-The physical ability to be on your feet all day and to lift, carry, and plant materials of 50+ lbs, working outdoors in all seasons.

Why Alt's Operation

-Competitive pay of $25–$35/hr, based on your experience.

-Year-round work: landscape season plus paid winter snow work, so your paychecks don't stop when the temperature drops.

-401(k) with company match, plus health, dental, life and disability insurance.

-A company vehicle provided to foremen after your first 90 days.

-Uniforms and PPE provided.

-Overtime paid at time-and-a-half for hours over 40 in a week.

-Snow pays more here: when you're out removing snow, you earn a higher snow wage on top of your regular pay.

-Real room to grow. We've gone from 2 people to a team of over 100 during the snow season, and we build our leaders from within. There's no ceiling here.

-Top-tier equipment and the backing to take on the projects other companies turn down, from steep slopes to shorelines.

-A family-oriented crew where everybody has a voice and hard work gets respected.

Where You'll Shine

Be the foreman crews want to work for. Take ownership of installs that transform a property from bare ground to finished landscape. And build something you can drive past for years and know your crew made it happen.

About Alt's Operation

Alt's Operation is a growing, family-oriented outdoor company based in Verona, WI, serving Dane County for 13 years. We've become one of the largest outdoor operations in the area by embracing the projects others won't, and by giving our people a voice, room to grow, and the equipment to do the job right.

Driving records will be reviewed for roles that operate company vehicles. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.

Ready to lead your own crew and build landscapes that last?

Alt's Operation is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
