Job description

Foreman - Underground Division
General Summary: Western Engineering Contractors Inc. is seeking a qualified Foreman for our Underground Division for full-time employment. Emphasis for the position will be on meeting the project quality and production requirements to satisfy customer expectations while operating within budget allowances. Projects will include new construction, removal, and replacement projects. Western Engineering is a local contractor that is based in Loomis and performs work in the greater Sacramento area and surrounding foothills. Western Engineering is a reputable company that has been rooted in the industry for over 40 years.
Essential Functions:
Supervises, coordinates, and works with underground construction crews on projects consisting of major site work and miscellaneous other construction work. Will coordinate personnel, trucking, material suppliers, and safety.
Education Requirements: High school diploma required.
Experience Requirements: 5 or more years as an Underground Foreman.

โ€ข Technical skills to ascertain a quality, cost-effective product.
โ€ข Effective leader with vital goal-setting, planning, communication, and teamwork skills
โ€ข Ability to think ahead, anticipate potential situations, and provide practical solutions to conflicts that arise during the course of business.

โ€ข Familiarity with local site conditions, agency standards, local vendors, and subcontractors.
โ€ข Knowledge of OSHA regulations and First Aid skills.

License/Certification: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
