Job description

The Director of Football Operations plays a vital role in managing the day-to-day logistics and administrative functions of the football program, ensuring efficient operations and compliance within NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College guidelines. This position supports the Head Coach and coaching staff by overseeing team travel, scheduling, budget management, and operational planning, while also coordinating alumni engagement, fundraising, and community outreach. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless operation of the program, allowing coaches to focus on athletic and player development.
Primary Responsibilities:
โ€ข Oversee team travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, and meals.
โ€ข Manage game scheduling, practice coordination, and facility reservations.
โ€ข Assist in budget management, expense tracking, and team operations.
โ€ข Serve as the liaison with compliance, academics, and athletic administration.
โ€ข Coordinate film breakdown, scouting reports, and technology use for analysis.
โ€ข Facilitate alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach.
โ€ข Ensure NCAA and Patriot League compliance in operational functions.
โ€ข Support sports medicine and strength staff in coordinating athlete wellness resources.
โ€ข Assist with team communications, media relations, and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
โ€ข 1-3 years experience in an operations or support role for an athletics organization.
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree required.
โ€ข Upon position acceptance, successful completion of PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Candidates must exhibit the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with student-athletes and staff, showcasing a genuine passion for enhancing the student-athlete experience. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are essential. The
ideal candidate will excel in collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds, educational levels, and cultural perspectives. They must demonstrate a commitment to adhering to Lafayette College, Patriot League, and NCAA rules and regulations. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.
