Performance Coach

Job Summary

Instructs or coaches individuals and groups in performance activities under the supervision of the Director of Performance. Our athletes range from 8 years old to professional athletes. This position will require a positive and professional approach to mentoring, managing and instructing our athletes.

General Accountabilities

  • Deliver programming to students/athletes in a 1 on 1, small, or group setting.

  • Provide sound progression and regression of exercises and drills when needed.

  • Deliver high quality training sessions that are motivational, educational, and fun.

  • Must be fluent in Google Docs, Google Sheets & Google Slides.

  • Tracking client participation in each session through programming software

  • Must be willing to travel to our other facilities.

  • Maintain continuous communication with the Director of Performance regarding scheduling, workouts, and professional development.

  • May evaluate individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special needs under the guidance of the program director.

  • Observes and informs individuals' of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement

  • Monitors individuals' progress and adapts training programs as needed.

  • Can instruct basic resistance, cardiorespiratory, mobility training to athletes that range from youth to elite level.

  • Instructs individuals in maintaining exertion levels to maximize benefits from exercise routines

  • Teaches and demonstrates use of training and exercise equipment

  • Explains and enforces safety rules and regulations

  • May provide individuals with information and resources regarding nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues

  • Maintaining and cleaning equipment and weight room after every session

  • Communicating with sports med if a client is injured during or prior to a workout

Education:

  • Kinesiology/psych/science type degree (recommended) and/or obtainment of NSCA-CSCS certification, NASM-PES, NASM-CPT, or USA-W

Preferred Experience:

  • Sport specific coaching experience in football, soccer, baseball and/or basketball

Compensation

  • Dependent on qualifications and experience
