Job description

Orange Lutheran High School seeks a transformational leader to serve as Football Operations Manager. This role is central to sustaining a premier, Christ-centered athletic program committed to developing elite student-athletes who embrace the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ and pursue excellence on and off the field. It's an opportunity to help build one of the premier high school football programs in the country, one that produces college-ready athletes and Christ-centered leaders prepared for impact far beyond the field. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Football Operations Manager will partner closely with the Head Football Coach to support the program's key operational, spiritual, and community aspects. This individual will ensure that the program reflects Orange Lutheran's mission by developing Christ-centered student-athletes.

Reports to: Head Football Coach

Supervises: None

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support the Head Football Coach in program operations, logistics, scheduling, and systems
  • Manage equipment, uniforms, inventory, vendors, and facilities coordination for the football program
  • Support game day operations, including sideline management and execution for the football program
  • Ensure compliance with school, CIF, and program policies related to the football program 
  • Coordinate showcases and communication with college coaches  
  • Support with fundraising initiatives for the football program 
  • Support the football program with travel planning and logistics
  • Partner with Marketing for the football program branding and media guide
  • Support the Head Football Coach in the requisition process related to the football program
  • Support the Athletics Manager in HR compliance and timecards related to the football program
  • Partner with the Director of Athletics in game supervision for lower-level football games
  • Partner with administrative support personnel to ensure all things related to transportation logistics are entered correctly for teams, ensuring timely and efficient travel arrangements as related to the football program
  • Collaborate with the administrative support personnel to develop and manage the football schedule, including games, practices, and events
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for football program administrative needs, coordinating with the Athletic Administrative Assistant on related inquiries and support

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Experience

  • At least three years of experience, preferably in a secondary setting, or any satisfactory combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties listed. 
  • Experience working in a managerial capacity is preferred.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND CLEARANCES

  • Cleared Background/Fingerprint check
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Cleared TB assessment
  • Completion of Ministry Safe Training
  • Valid CA Driver's License
