Job description

$20-$30/hr | Full-Time (Summer) | Leadership Role

We run youth flag football camps for kids ages 5-14 across Fairfax County, Loudoun, Arlington, and Herndon. We need a Flag Football Camp Director who knows the game inside out, can run a full day of programming, manage staff, and create a camp experience that makes every kid feel like they belong on the field.

You run the field. We back you up.

What you will do:

  • Direct daily operations of a full-day flag football camp
  • Build and manage the daily schedule - skill stations, drills, 7-on-7, tournaments, cool-down
  • Lead and supervise a team of counselors and assistant coaches
  • Deliver and oversee OTA flag football curriculum across age groups and skill levels
  • Teach and reinforce fundamentals - routes, snapping, defense, flag pulling, sportsmanship
  • Be the primary point of contact for parents at your site
  • Handle incidents, injuries, and behavioral issues calmly and professionally
  • Ensure every camper is safely signed out at end of day

What we are looking for:

  • Football background - played, coached, or officiated at any level (flag or tackle)
  • 2+ years coaching or camp leadership experience
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of counselors
  • Comfortable coaching multiple age groups and skill levels in the same day
  • High energy, high standards, serious about the game
  • Strong parent communication skills
  • Must pass background check + fingerprinting
  • Reliable transportation to assigned camp site

Pay and Schedule:

  • $20-$25/hr to start based on experience
  • Up to $30/hr for returning, experienced directors
  • Full-time hours during summer (typically June-August)
  • Pre-season training and planning required
