Security Officer Food Store

As a Security Officer Food Store in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and loss prevention efforts. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to shoppers, store team members, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, potential loss prevention concerns, and security-related hazards, and report observations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain detailed activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
