3.25 hours per day (10:30am - 1:45pm, 10:45am - 2:00pm)

Sartell-St. Stephen School District is currently hiring for friendly, customer service oriented staff members looking to work in a fast paced environment. The Food Service Worker will be assigned to be cross trained in several areas in the kitchen.
The mission of our Food Services Department is to proudly offer our students a wide variety of nutritious, affordable and satisfying meals that enables them to succeed academically and physically, while teaching lifelong healthful eating habits.
Fundamental to our mission are:



  • A competent and customer service oriented Food Service Staff that participates in decision-making; effectively manages resources; and maintains a safe, sanitary, orderly and attractive environment.
  • Promoting nutritional awareness and student participation through successful customer service, marketing and merchandising.
  • Ensuring financial self-sufficiency by managing resources effectively and with innovation.

Essential Functions:

  • Fill the dishwasher, remove clean dishes and restock in the kitchen.
  • Serving food according to established procedures while maintaining a neat and clean serving area.   Uses proper utensils and monitors portion sizes.  Maintains alertness to student allergy restrictions while serving and practices food safety and sanitation techniques.
  • Daily set-up and clean-up of serving area.  This includes, but is not limited to stocking products, portioning ala cart items and cleaning and sanitizing serving area.
  • Responsible for daily food storage, including rotation of products, labeling, temping and expiration dates of food items.
  • Clean and sanitize tables between lunch shifts.


Physical Demands: 
Stand continuously, walk frequently, reach with arms/hands frequently, Stoop/kneel occasionally, lift up to 20 pounds frequently, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Requirements: 
HS Diploma or equivalent and must be willing to work in all positions.
