Description
Are you someone who has food production experience, managed a kitchen team, and is excited and knowledgeable about food creations?
This is a full-time position, approximately 40 hours/week. Must have open availability. Benefits include health insurance(medical, dental & vision), staff discount and paid time off. This position may be filled as either an hourly or salaried role, depending on qualifications and business needs. The pay range is $31.00-$36.00 per hour.
The major responsibilities for this position are to promote and support the Ukiah Natural Foods vision and mission. Duties will include always provide excellent customer service and handle as a first priority. Responsible for attaining positive operating results within department. Provide top quality product at all times. Ensure effective inventory control. Provide a safe, attractive, efficient department, and well-trained employees who provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
Minimum Experience: โ€ข Requires a combination of on-the-job training and experience in less responsible supervisory position(s) including training and employee evaluation.โ€ข Knowledge of inventory control, margins, and pricing. โ€ข Experience with purchasing and receiving in a retail environment.โ€ข Experience reviewing and developing departmental budgets. โ€ข Expanded knowledge of natural and organic foods, food service and products.
Language Skills:
Read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and periodicals and journals.โ€ข Write routine reports, correspondence, business letters, and summaries in English. โ€ข Ability to speak effectively in English before groups such as customers or employees.โ€ข Excel in customer service extended to customers, staff, vendors, and community members and proficient in the ability to deal with difficult customer situations.
Computer Skills:โ€ข Sufficient computer skills that will allow use, in a proficient manner, all Company-issued software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office programs.
Reasoning Ability:โ€ข Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and to determine own work priorities within departmental guidelines. โ€ข Ability to handle multiple demands, problem-solve, and research information.โ€ข Demonstrate objectivity, neutrality, and calmness under pressure. โ€ข Possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
โ€ข Knowledge of and enthusiasm for natural foods and products.
โ€ข Retail natural foods experience.
โ€ข Basic Spanish speaking or comprehension.
