Job Title: Safety Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Status: Exempt

Reports To: Director of Safety

Your Role at Acousti

The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving the company's safety programs across multiple job sites and regions. This position plays a vital role in protecting employees, subcontractors, and company assets by enforcing compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of construction safety, particularly in drywall, framing, and acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) environments, and is passionate about mentoring field teams to create a culture of safety excellence.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

* Oversee and enforce company safety policies across multiple locations and job sites

* Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary

* Develop and review Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and pre-task planning documentation

* Coordinate and lead safety stand-down meetings and toolbox talks

* Provide safety mentorship and guidance to field personnel and subcontractors

* Ensure proper use of fall protection systems, scaffolding, and aerial equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, forklifts)

* Manage incident reporting, investigation processes, and root cause analysis

* Conduct new hire and ongoing safety training, including leadership and field-specific safety topics

* Stay current with OSHA regulations and ensure company-wide compliance

* Assist with the development and delivery of safety-related content in both English and Spanish (if applicable)

* Maintain certifications and documentation in line with company standards and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

* 5-10 years of construction safety experience, preferably in drywall, framing, and ACT environments

* Experience managing safety operations across multiple job sites

* Strong background working with subcontractors and enforcing site safety compliance

* BCSP STSC certification or higher (required)

* OSHA 510 certification (required); OSHA 500 (preferred)

* Proficiency with developing JSAs, SSSPs, and managing fall protection and scaffolding protocols

* First Aid, CPR, and AED Certified (Trainer preferred)

* Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Safety Trainer certification (OSHA or other recognized bodies)

* Familiarity with safety management software and reporting tools

* Previous experience delivering bilingual training sessions
