We have partnered with a manufacturer of aluminum castings in the Clifton, NJ area to provide them with a Quality Assurance Manager. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Quality Assurance Manager:
#1. 8+ years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace or defense.
#2. Direct experience with AS9100 and NADCAP compliance. Strong knowledge of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and inspection processes.
#3. Experience leading internal and external quality audits including customer and regulatory audits.
#4.Background managing quality teams within a manufacturing or aerospace production environment.
#5. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
#6. Strong knowledge of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and inspection processes.
Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager:
  • Lead and manage quality teams responsible for Raw Inspection, X-Ray, NDT, Final Inspection, and Shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and other aerospace quality standards.
  • Support First Article Inspection and PPAP processes to ensure documentation and validation meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead internal, external, and customer audits.
  • Develop quality procedures, reporting metrics, and improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison between internal teams and customers.
  • Train and mentor quality staff to maintain compliance and performance standards.
  • Oversee inspection documentation and final product quality records to ensure traceability and compliance.

Requirements of the Quality Assurance Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with aerospace or defense manufacturing quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of NDT methods and inspection practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
