Job Description

The Food Processor in the Cook Chill Department is an on-site position and requires regular attendance at the facility. And plays a key role in preparing high-quality food products for Charlie’s Produce customers. This role focuses on safe, efficient handling of ingredients; operation of cook chill equipment; and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. The position supports daily production goals while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Chill Department plays a key role in preparing high-quality, food products for Charlie’s Produce customers. This role focuses on safe, efficient handling of ingredients; operation of cook chill equipment; and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. The position supports daily

Schedule: 4:00am-12:30pm weekend availability is required.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Measure, wash, trim, and prepare raw ingredients according to batch recipes
  • Operate cook chill kettles, mixers, blenders, and portioning equipment chill kettles, mixers, blenders, and portioning equipment.
  • Monitor chiller and cooling cycles to ensure product safety and quality
  • Follow standardized recipes and production sheets with high accuracy
  • Package finished products using vacuum seal or portion control systems seal or portion control systems.

  • Conduct and document required temperature checks
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in food production, commercial kitchens, or manufacturing preferred
