About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Hyatt Regency LAX. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in menu development, recipe creation, and food preparation. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Your role will be critical in maintaining the high standards of our fine dining establishment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian cuisine and fine dining techniques
  • Ability to manage and train kitchen staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification
  • Experience in menu planning and development
  • Experience in a high-volume kitchen environment

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and recipe development
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of hygiene and safety
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques
  • Maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment
