Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree with course work emphasis in Food Service, Health Service, Restaurant Operations/Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
  2. A minimum of three (3) years previous experience and/or training that includes management in food service operations.
  3. Must possess and maintain throughout employment, a valid Florida driver license without any restrictions affecting job performance. Driver license must show current address.
  4. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Such training/experience must be clearly demonstrated on the application for consideration.

Nature of Work
Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to monitor and ensure quality control and assurance for food service operations in compliance with contractual and statutory requirements. Employees in this classification provide managerial oversight to contracted services to ensure quality control and adherence to agreed upon obligations. Position is responsible for the evaluation and resolution of any contractual or statutory non-compliance difficulties within the food service operations. Performs related work as directed.
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. Monitors all levels of food service operations in order to ensure statutory and contractual compliance.
Reviews all food service operations in order to provide quality control and assurance.
Generates a variety of weekly, monthly and annual reports and statements relating to departmental functions.
Maintains, files, inventories and distributes records and related data of departmental functions.
Assures coordination between contractors and other departmental facilities; acts as a liaison between external contractors and internal departments.
Reviews files, records, contracts and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Provides direction, resolution to operational issues and feedback relating to food service operations and delivery.
Monitors and verifies contractor permits, certificates, registrations, and licenses as required by governmental agencies.
Performs related duties as directed.
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
