Job description

Cobblestone Creek Country Club, located in Victor, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a seasonalfull-time Food and Beverage Supervisor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fastpaced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. 

General Purpose: 

Provides efficient service of our guests with superior professionalism and courtesy. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions. Assists the department manager with training, development and implementing customer service standards. 

Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

 

Essential Duties: 

  • Ensures staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met.  
  • Inspects grooming and attire of staff, and rectifies any deficiencies.. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.  
  • Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner. 
  • Acts as a liaison between front of house and the kitchen staff to ensure timely and appropriate communications. 
  • Ensures that the restaurant and restaurant facilities are kept clean, well stocked and organized. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the restaurant and notifies the Food & Beverage Manager of needed maintenance and repair. 
  • Assures all opening and closing procedures and side work is completed, including all cleaning of equipment and storage areas, setting up necessary supplies and tools, un/locking doors, inspecting storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness, etc. 
  • Assists in coordinating special functions with the Food & Beverage Manager. 
  • Assists Food & Beverage Manager in performing and maintaining food and beverage inventory. 
  • Assists with conducting pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, house counts, etc. 
  • Assists in the completion of revenue reports, production reports and other reports as needed. 
  • Performs daily activities to include: serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, room service and general clerical/cashier duties. 
  • Assists the department manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. Make recommendations when hiring, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. 
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees. 
  • Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-saving initiatives. 
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems. 
  • Assists in the coordination of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Hosts, Servers, Expediters, and Cashiers. 
  • Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses. 
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance. 
  • Performs other duties as required. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • 2+ years’ Lead Server experience preferred 
  • Proven exemplary customer service skills  
  • 2+ years’ experience with a restaurant POS software platform 
  • Pool F&B Experience preferred

Physical Demands: 

Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears. Regularly uses hands, reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, taste or smells. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. 

Occasionally works in extreme heat, wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate. 

Certificates/Licenses: 

ServSafe Certified (Food Manager & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent. 

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: 

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). 
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages. 
  • Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction. 
  • Working knowledge of POS system. 
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety. 
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach. 
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude. 
  • Responsible and trustworthy.
