Job description

The Massachusetts Mobile Commercial Vehicle Inspector works for a private inspection company conducting statewide inspections to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of commercial vehicles. The role is based in Woburn, MA and requires travel throughout the entire state of Massachusetts. This role combines independent and team-based work, requiring travel to various inspection sites to perform thorough vehicle inspections, enforce safety standards, and prepare detailed reports in a regular, scheduled capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of commercial vehicles to evaluate safety and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports accurately
  • Operate inspection equipment efficiently and safely
  • Engage professionally with vehicle operators and other stakeholders
  • Record and maintain inspection data meticulously
  • Travel statewide to various vehicle inspection sites
  • Analyze technical information to identify safety concerns and violations

Required Qualifications

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in commercial vehicle inspection
