To thrive as a FoodCorps Service Member, you typically need a background in nutrition, education, or agriculture, along with a passion for food justice and community service. Familiarity with nutrition education curricula, gardening tools, and basic computer skills for lesson planning and reporting is often required. Strong interpersonal communication, cultural humility, and adaptability are vital soft skills for engaging diverse communities and fostering positive relationships.
