Job description

Summary of Position: Provide food and beverage service to guests.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Sets up bar and grill area and performs assigned side (prep) work.
  • Must be in a clean uniform daily.
  • Provides immediate attention to all guests.
  • Directs guests to menus; answers questions.
  • Takes guest's orders; suggestively sells food and beverage items, if appropriate.
  • Prepares short order food offerings.
  • Assembles food on tray; procures items form each station as necessary.
  • Serves meals for customer pick up.
  • Checks back to ensure guest satisfaction; replenishes drinks as necessary.
  • Removes trash from eating areas while customers are present.
  • Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and other charges on all checks.
  • Presents the bill.
  • Handles all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
  • Keep tables, dining room and bathroom areas clean.
  • Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
  • Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
  • Maintain clean work area at all times.
  • Stock liquor, beverages, and food when needed.
  • Consistency follows local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
  • Performs other appropriate duties assigned by the food & beverage and assistant food & beverage manager.
  • Reports to food & beverage and assistant food & beverage manager.
  • Work in the role of beverage cart attendant, on course Shack attendant, or Pavilion bartender/server; as needed.
  • Helps train new staff.
