Job description

Electro-Mechanical Technician

The Electro-Mechanical Technician at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton works in a fast-paced environment that oversees the installation and maintenance of our plant support systems and process machinery. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will use all the tools at your disposal to ensure the reliability of the industrial equipment and any associated support equipment. This will involve corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques, as well as operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving all systems at Green Bay Packaging facilities.

Each Electrical Mechanical Technician receives a personalized development plan designed to build technical competencies, enhance troubleshooting and maintenance skills, and create a clear path for ongoing professional growth.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Ranging from $27.37/hr โ€“ $41.91/hr
  • Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Maintain and install all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems 
  • Inspect and assess functionality of critical facility systems (HVAC, air compressors, and humidification systems) 
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries 
  • Maintain tool accountability and comply with GMP standards
  • Assist with general facilities and grounds maintenance 

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Associate Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or related field
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical controls and automation systems
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
  • Experience with HVAC systems, compressors, pumps, and rotating equipment
  • Welding, machining, and fabrication experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and industrial maintenance standards
  • Proficiency using electrical diagnostic tools including multimeters and testing equipment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills

Work Schedule

  • Must be willing to work either
    • 2nd Shift (Monday โ€“ Friday 2pm โ€“ 10pm) after training. 

OR

    • 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am) after training. 

Training: Day shift (6am โ€“2pm, Mondayโ€“Friday) for up to 120 days

Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
