Job description

Salary: $70,000 - $98,000

FMF&E continues to experience growth in our client base and is currently seeking dynamic Tax professionals to join our Tax team at either an In-Charge or Supervisor level. We offer a fun, flexible and collaborative work environment that focuses on teamwork and supports both personal and professional development.

The level for this position will be determined based on factors including relevant skills, experience and other qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of complex individual and business returns.
  • Obtain clients financial data for individual tax returns.
  • Assisting audit and accounting staff with complex tax questions.
  • Preparing tax provisions.
  • Assist with IRS or state tax audits.
  • Supervising workflow of Tax Staff/Interns on less complex returns, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Identifying problems and opportunities for research or work other than compliance.
  • Assist with all aspects of the engagement, including budgeting and billing.
  • Providing appropriate on-the-job training to Staff Accountants.
  • Conducting timely performance appraisals for your assigned team.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of Tax experience working preferably in a public accounting firm
  • Bachelors degree is required
  • CPA license is a plus but not required
  • Passion for client service
  • Strong written and verbal communication and excellent relationship building skills
  • Conscientious, detailed-oriented and self-motivated to meet deadlines
  • Solid analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills
