This arrangement allows Millwrights to focus on their specialized maintenance and repair tasks while away from home, and fosters a team-oriented work environment with other skilled tradespeople. Being prepared for extended stays in remote locations is important, and many people appreciate the work-life balance this schedule can provide. FIFO roles can also offer unique opportunities for overtime pay and exposure to large-scale industrial projects.

To thrive as a Fly In Fly Out Millwright, you need strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and experience with industrial maintenance, often supported by a trade certification or journeyman status.
