If you join our team, you will generally work in a focused territory in King County, but you may also be asked at times to change territories or to help cover in areas other than your primary assignment. Although you'll be in the field the majority of your time, our offices are located in Georgetown where we hold trainings, meetings, and other team activities.

The Admissions RN is a versatile position that encompasses triage, admissions, PRN visit help and quality & compliance activities. Key characteristics for this role include strong clinical skills, flexibility, organization, compassion and a team-oriented approach to care.

Job Description Summary
The Hospice Float and Admission RN is a versatile position that encompasses admissions and PRN visit help as well as triage and quality & compliance activities as needed. Key characteristics for this role include strong clinical skills, flexibility, organization, compassion, and a team-oriented approach to care.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Complete scheduled admissions
2. Complete urgent Admissions.
3. Perform chart audits, compliance tracking and other quality improvement activities.
4. Profile medications with hospice pharmacy as needed. Assist case managers in obtaining medication refills.
5. Assist in ordering durable medical equipment as needed to support patient care.
6. Assist with flu clinics, tracking requests for patient flu vaccination and COVID testing.
7. Cover visit help requests per manager request. This includes PPS visits, PRN, and/or routine visits as needed.
8. Work collaboratively with Hospice Management team to field triage calls and meet daily needs of hospice patients.

1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
2. Has three (3) years nursing experience. Community/home health/hospice or medical/surgical experience is preferred.
3. Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
4. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
5. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
6. Possesses and maintains CPR certification.
7. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
