Bringing Home the Dough

Ensures proper preparation of icings according to formula and scheduled standards. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
  • Aligns product properly as needed.
  • Monitors icing roller or T bar to make sure product is properly covered.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area.
  • Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
  • Performs other duties as directed by supervision.
  • Record icing mix confirmations in SAP.
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: One or more years of experience in an industrial food manufacturing facility, preferably in donut production.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. No educational prerequisite; however must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record information applicable to the job, safety, and production standards. Must be able to communicate clearly and distinctly in English in person or via telephone and on paging device.
Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
  • Range of Motion:  Required abilities: pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing, and twisting.  Requires ability to exert force necessary to move equipment and icing troughs (weighing up to 900 lbs.) from mixer area to wash pit (distance of 50+ feet).
  • Lifting Requirement: Requires stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs of ingredients to table 36 inches high, and from table to mixer 54 inches high.  Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 16 hours on a daily basis.
  • Sensory abilities required: Hearing, vision and smell sufficient to:
    detect malfunctions in all production equipment
    evaluate product size, shape, color, appearance, position
    set gauges, dials, rulers, guides, etc.
  • Experience Requirement: Minimum of three months experience working in an industrial food manufacturing facility required.  One or more years experience preferred.

Salary Range-  $20.90 - $21.38
