Job description

Position Summary
The Supervisor, Quality Data Systems is responsible for leading standardization, governance, and continuous improvement of quality-related systems, data, and traceability processes across all 1-800-FLOWERS food brands.
This role ensures consistent and effective use of ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Baan, Snowflake), drives implementation and optimization of traceability systems (e.g., Trustwell), and strengthens data integrity to support food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
The position works cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, IT, and Supply Chain to align processes, improve system adoption, and ensure scalable, audit-ready practices across all sites.
Coverage
In the absence of this role, responsibilities will fall upon the Quality Food Safety Officer. The Quality Assurance Officer may delegate responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. • Follow all safety and food safety procedures.
• Lead standardization and governance of quality and product data across ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Baan, Snowflake)
• Oversee implementation and optimization of traceability systems (e.g., Trustwell)
• Develop and validate end-to-end traceability across the 1800 Flowers ecosystem and address gaps in processes and system execution
• Translate regulatory and customer requirements into effective system workflows
• Facilitate process standardization across manufacturing and quality functions
• Develop and maintain SOPs aligned with regulatory and system requirements
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance
• Support internal and external audits; ensure compliance with FSMA, GFSI and customer standards
• Implement system and process updates in response to regulatory changes
• Develop reporting and KPIs to monitor data quality, traceability and system performance
• Analyze trends, identify risks and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Collaborate cross functionally with Quality, Operations, IT, Supply Chain and Procurement
• Establish governance forums and drive alignment on data standards and system processes
• Facilitate change management and training efforts to ensure successful system adoption across sites
• Promote and strengthen a food safety culture by reinforcing accountability, increasing awareness of data and process impacts on food safety, ensuring consistent adherence to standards across all sites
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree required in Food Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related Scientific field
• 2-5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality systems, or ERP environments
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, and /or Baan)
• Experience implementing or managing traceability systems (e.g., Trustwell, Tracegains, FoodLogiQ)
• HACCP/HARPC implementation and documentation experience
• GFSI and Regulatory (FDA, USDA, State) inspection and audit experience preferred
• Experience working in multi-site manufacturing environments preferred
