Job description

CNC Programmer

We are seeking two CNC Programmers to become an integral part of our team! One position will be first shift position, and one position will be 2nd shift. 

This position is located in FORT WORTH, TEXAS.

Summary: Create and maintain CNC programs using CAD/CAM and G-code, as well as accomplishing process improvements, machining optimization and CNC program proofing.  Will also design fixturing, analyze and solve machining problems while working in a “Hands-On” environment.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM programming software
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency, tool life and quality
  • Trouble shoot machining problems
  • Assist in first run of parts/programs with shop personnel

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Read, write, and verbally communicate in English
  • Offline CAM programming experience
  • In-depth Knowledge of G-code programming
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Ability to inspect parts and adjust programs and offsets
  • Understanding of feeds/speeds, tooling, and materials
  • Strong CNC Lathe experience (preferably dual spindle and Y Axis)
  • Machining troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding and applications of cutting tool geometry

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of fixturing, tool design and setups
  • Espirit and/or MasterCAM experience
  • Experience with VMC’s (4&5 axis), HMC’s (4 axis), and mill/turn
  • Experience with Haas CNC’s (Lathe and Mill)
  • Multi-axis CNC lathe and CNC mill experience
  • Familiar with Fanuc controls
  • Previous use of an ERP system for routing and BoM
  • Prior use of Predator DNC system
  • Familiarity or prior use of Calypso (Zeiss) CMM programming software
