The Retail Floral Designer plays a key role in bringing Dr. Delphinium's brand to life within our retail environment. Floral Designers are central to our brand and customer relationships, using creativity, attention to detail, and service to create arrangements that inspire loyalty and encourage repeat business.
This role combines artistry with efficiency and operational excellence. Floral Designers work with fresh flowers and premium materials to bring designs to life while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards and pricing. Success in this position requires strong design skills, collaboration, a sense of ownership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and supports long-term client relationships
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of client preferences, locations, and design expectations
  • Participate in client walk-throughs and consultations alongside sales teams as requested
  • Create floral designs using fresh flowers, accent materials, and vessels while meeting brand standards and cost guidelines
  • Monitor standing orders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely execution
  • Support or oversee on-site installations and refreshes as required
  • Meet production deadlines and performance expectations for standing accounts and overall design workflow
  • Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and design standards
  • Coordinate standing account coverage and ticket transfers during absences or staffing changes
