Job description

Job Summary:
The Floorman is a key team member in the brick manufacturing process, responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of production areas. This role involves performing manual and mechanical tasks to ensure the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and processes while adhering to safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Material Handling:
    • Load and unload raw materials, finished products, and other supplies manually or using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
    • Monitor and manage the flow of materials to ensure consistent production.
  2. Production Support:
    • Assist in setting up and operating machinery used in brick production.
    • Monitor machines during operations to identify malfunctions or irregularities and report them to supervisors.
    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
    • Remove and discard defective products or materials as per company standards.
  4. Housekeeping and Safety:
    • Keep the production area clean and free of debris to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Follow all company safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.
    • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other team members, including machine operators, supervisors, and quality control personnel, to meet production goals.
    • Communicate effectively about issues or improvements needed in the production process.

Schedule

  • Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Night Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 3:00 AM
    (Occasionally maybe requiredto work Fridays)
  • May berequiredto work weekends or holidays based on production needs
  • Overtime may berequiredbased on production demands

Safety Requirements

  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Must complete and pass all required safety training
  • Must wear required PPE while performing job duties
  • Mustimmediatelyreport unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries
  • Participate in safety meetings
