Job description

The Casino Cage Cashier is responsible for counting, sorting and organizing all money, chips, vouchers and paperwork during assigned shifts. Ensuring that the highest guest service level is being met.
Position Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality services to guests of Ocean Resort Atlantic City
  • Performs, but not limited to, the following functions: check cashing, sell/redeem chips, process slot and table game jackpots processes tournament paperwork and balances cash drawers and banks on an assigned shift.
  • Receives and accounts for all funds turned into banks from all areas.
  • Retrieves bill validators from NRT area and appropriately stores all cassettes
  • Inserts and removes currency from counting machines; runs the machines
  • Straps initials and dates all money straps
  • Enters necessary information into the computer
  • Loads appropriate cassettes and bill validators into carts and pushes/pulls cart to the casino floor
  • Accounts for all keys issued
  • Pulls cassettes and bill validators, insuring each validator is accounted for.
  • Completes all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Essential Functions
  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and varied hours.
  • Must have manual dexterity to allow for inputting of data into computer software and be capable of viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time

Requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and stand/walk for entire shift
  • One year of cash handling experience is required.
  • Strong math skills required.
  • Some banking or accounting experience is preferred.
