Job description

We are a large residential apartment community in Newburgh, NY, seeking a skilled and motivated Flooring Installer to join our maintenance team. This role is essential to keeping our units in excellent condition, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Position Overview

As a Flooring Installer, you will perform full flooring installations and repairs throughout the property. You’ll be responsible for accurately measuring spaces, determining material needs, and installing various flooring types—including LVP, VCT, and ceramic tile—according to industry and manufacturer best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure rooms and determine accurate material requirements
  • Remove existing flooring and complete demolition as needed
  • Install multiple flooring types: LVP, VCT, ceramic tile, and others
  • Perform subfloor repairs or replacements
  • Complete light carpentry tasks related to flooring projects
Additional Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Work safely, cleanly, and efficiently on all job sites
  • Follow company and manufacturer installation standards
  • Assist with additional property tasks as needed, including: Work orders, General building maintenance, Carpet removal, Unit cleanouts, Working in crawlspaces or on ladders, Snow removal
  • Ability to regularly lift and move heavy materials (minimum 50 lbs)
  • Comfortable working on hands and knees for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant oversight
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to different environments
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (non‑negotiable)
