Floating Pharmacist for the Vermont Market Area

Location: Rutland, Manchester, Colchester, Brattleboro, Glens Falls, St. Johnsbury, So. Burlington, St. Albans, Morrisville, Essex Junction, Barre, Windsor, Burlington, Derby, Bennington, West Rutland

SUMMARY The Pharmacy Floater is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy's operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, and managing financial and personnel functions to maintain optimal performance. They also provide patient care services, including counseling and training pharmacy associates, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and legal compliance. *The Pharmacy Floater provides coverage for multiple locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Registers with state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge. Responsible for maintaining the pharmacy in good standing with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies. Responsible for guidance and training of pharmacy associates and holds them accountable for complying with regulatory and company police. Counsels patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects. Maintains department facilities consistent with legal and company standards. Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense. Train and develop pharmacy interns and technicians Receive telephone prescriptions and authorizations from prescriber's offices

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice Ability to travel to various stores as need to work as the licensed pharmacist Immunization Certification Must be 21 years of age. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required education to be a State Licensed Pharmacist Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems Strong leadership skills and ability to manage others. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
