Job description

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Branch Administrative Assistant is to maintain proper paper flow through the Distribution Center in a timely manner through proper billing, receiving and crediting that allows Mingledorff's, Inc. and our vendors and customers to keep statements accurate and up to date. Answer questions and route calls and walk in traffic to the proper people in an effort to assist in our sales efforts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process billing, receiving, credits and merchandise return authorizations in a timely and accurate manner to ensure that our records and our customers are up to date and correct

  • Input all customer and class information into the Company provided system to allow both TM's and Technical Service Representatives the ability to keep up with training and sales information

  • Reserve local meeting rooms and banquet facilities and schedule catered food and beverage services as needed to assist our training and sales efforts

  • Purchase office supplies and handle upkeep of the current office equipment to ensure that day-to-day business functions operate smoothly

  • Perform daily copying and filing functions as needed to assist the local sales effort and meet customer's needs

  • Handle the office petty cash and bank deposits to ensure that daily transactions are maintained accurately and all items can be accounted for.

  • Handle overflow calls from the Inside Sales Professionals and Commercial Department in an effort to provide quality customer service to our customers.

  • Work overtime as needed.

  • Work cooperatively with others

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

  • Maintain regular, punctual and reliable attendance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may work in environments as cold as 20 degrees or as hot as 105 degrees. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
