Job description

Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Atlanta, GA (Travel between Buckhead and Roswell locations)

Compensation: $21.00 - $22.50 / hour

About the Opportunity

Addison Group is seeking multiple Medical Assistants on behalf of our client for direct hire opportunities within a busy specialty medical practice. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced providers in a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting both patient care and administrative workflows.

The ideal candidate is proactive, patient-focused, and comfortable balancing clinical responsibilities with operational support. Recent graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply, though experienced Medical Assistants are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for appointments by collecting medical histories, updating records, and obtaining vital signs
  • Escort patients through the clinical process while ensuring a positive and professional experience
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and specialty treatments
  • Coordinate follow-up care, communicate test results, and respond to patient inquiries as directed
  • Support clinical documentation and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system
  • Assist with prescription-related requests, specialty medication paperwork, and treatment-related documentation
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection duties when needed
  • Monitor exam room readiness and maintain supplies needed for daily operations
  • Support administrative tasks including provider messaging, chart preparation, and patient follow-up activities
  • Float between clinic locations and providers as needed to support patient volume and operational demands

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience in a specialty practice environment strongly preferred
  • Dermatology or aesthetics experience is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records; ModMed/EMA experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day
  • Excellent communication and patient-service skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is preferred but not required
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
