Federal Medical Assistants are healthcare professionals who provide administrative and clinical support in federal healthcare facilities, such as Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals, military clinics, or federal prisons. Their duties often include taking patient histories, scheduling appointments, assisting with basic medical procedures, and maintaining medical records. They play a vital role in ensuring efficient operation of healthcare services within federal agencies. Federal Medical Assistants typically work under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses and must adhere to federal regulations and standards.
