Assistant Property Manager

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

Job Summary

The Assistant Property Manager will support the Property Manager in managing four medical properties within the Michigan portfolio. This role involves coordinating various property management tasks, from tenant relations to vendor management and to maintain and improve the properties' quality and market competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a consistently high level of service and responsiveness to ensure a "Best in Class" leasing experience.
  • Handle tenant requests and distribute work orders to Service Technicians, monitor work order progress.
  • Assist with coordinating tenant move-ins, move-outs, and conducting property walk-throughs.
  • Maintain updated tenant emergency contact lists.
  • Property Maintenance:
    • Assist in maintaining and enhancing the physical attractiveness of both the interior and exterior of SKMM's managed properties.
    • Ensure service providers are held accountable for maintaining property standards.
    • Schedule and manage vendors and contractors for various property services.
  • Financial and Operational Support:
    • Assist in preparing the annual property budget.
    • Understand the competitive marketplace to ensure properties are well-positioned to attract and retain quality tenants.
    • Ensure adherence to property management operational policies and procedures.
    • Ensure management and supplier agreements are properly documented to mitigate risk for SKMM and its investors/clients.
    • Assist with financial reporting and maintaining budgetary control.
  • Vendor and Staff Relations:
    • Manage existing vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely service.
    • Develop relationships with property staff, such as day porters and service technicians, to ensure tenant requests and work orders are completed promptly.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Ensure compliance with fire and life safety regulations.
    • Coordinate emergency response efforts, available 24/7/365.
  • Project Oversight:
    • Oversee project work to ensure it meets quality and timeline expectations.

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of property management operations and the competitive marketplace.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.
