As well as working with a skilled, multi-disciplined engineering team, you will work with our on-site manufacturing center with capabilities that include PCB assembly, unit assembly, and acceptance testing.
Essential Functions
- Design innovative electronic products for a broad range of aviation markets
- Optimize design tradeoffs through research, component selection, simulation and prototyping, schematic capture, and PCB design
- Collaborate with experts from other teams and engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Software, EMC, Certification, and Systems Engineering
- Ensure superior product performance and safety by testing circuits and products with clear and thorough analysis and documentation of results
- Identify technical root causes and suggest reliable solutions for a variety of problems using best engineering practices
- Work with factory and quality assurance teams to implement designs that maximize manufacturability and long-term reliability
- Work with our Manufacturing and Product Support teams to maintain and improve products through their life in production, repair, and customer usage
- Participate in engineering design reviews and provide comments and suggestions on some electrical design aspects for circuits and technologies within your expertise
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Demonstrated ability with application of design standards and procedures to design and develop moderately complex analog, digital and/or RF designs including simulations, schematics, PCB layouts and evaluation
- Demonstrated ability with electrical engineering tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of design impacts on manufacturability
Desired Qualifications
