THE WORK
Position Assignment: Enterprise Flight Simulation Systems Administrator / Subject Matter Expert located in Orlando, Florida. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and support for F-35 pilot training devices across the U.S. enterprise training sites.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as the Subject-Matter Expert to meet all contract-required training and technical-support obligations.
Work closely with the Lockheed Martin on-site training team to achieve F-35 training objectives.
Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed.
Lead the development, coordination, and execution of technical-support initiatives, including reliability studies and engineering-design evaluations for F-35 training systems.
Supervise the sustainment, maintenance, and daily operation of F-35 training devices.
Direct the design of test methods and statistical-process-control (SPC) procedures to attain required product-reliability levels, and ensure corrective actions satisfy established reliability standards.
Coordinate the analysis and implementation of reliability-engineering programs that meet company, customer, and governmental objectives.
Provide technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals, and other technical documentation.
Assist Logistics Program Managers with operational scheduling and resource planning as required.
Maintain compliance with site security and access-control procedures in accordance with F-35 program and customer requirements.
Hold and maintain a Secret-level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access.
Demonstrate proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Work a flexible schedule including rotating shifts, on-site coverage, and the potential for >40 hours/week to align with customer operational needs; travel to deployed locations (CONOCONUS) up to 25 % of the time may be required.

Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have a Final Transferable Secret security clearance, last Periodic Reinvestigation must be within the last five years.
Candidates Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
Candidate must have a current Security+ certificate or able to acquire a Security + certification within 3 months of hire date.
F-35 Training Device Experience in the Full Mission Simulator (FMS) and/or Mission Rehearsal Trainer (MRT)
Knowledge and experience with simulation hardware and software.
Ability to read and use technical schematics, drawings and manuals along with other technical materials to resolve complex problems.
Candidate must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule.
Demonstrated background in problem/incident management and hardware/software change management.
Subject matter expert in F 35 training system architecture, implementation, and operations.
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities; highly organized and dedicated to customer satisfaction.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Desired skills
Bachelor's or Associate's degree with 4-5 years of experience in F-35 FMS simulation and training.
Currently hold a valid Security+ certification.
Robust experience with 5th-generation aviation-simulator training operations and military training operations.
Aptitude and ability to mentor and develop other team members.
In-depth knowledge of military publications and an understanding of fourth- and/or fifth-generation aircraft training operations.
Prior experience coordinating with program SMEs, engineers, and field-service technicians.
Experience briefing and/or teaching technical information to internal and external audiences.
Network-troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
Experience working in classified or access-controlled facilities.
Ability to lead and mentor team members.
VMware experience.
System administration of Windows and/or Linux server environments.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
