Job description

Training Device Technician, Level 3 (Flight Simulation)

Company:

Boeing is seeking an experienced Training Device Technician, Level 3 to support operations at the Miami Training Campus in Miami, Florida. The Training Device Technician will maintain full flight simulators and associated training equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant training operations.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Miami, FL training facility.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of training devices, assemblies, and components.

  • Conduct functional tests of simulator systems and monitor instrumentation and bench-mounted indicators.

  • Assist with repair, installation, configuration, upgrades, and modification of simulators, training components, hardware, and software.

  • Troubleshoot systems and support equipment to isolate faults and repair or replace faulty components.

  • Support engineers in diagnostic and corrective actions.

  • Work independently under limited supervision while coordinating with team members and stakeholders.

  • Participate in shift work, including variable schedules, weekends, and overtime as required.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. S 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in flight simulation.

  • 3+ years' experience troubleshooting and testing hardware and software.

  • 3+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems.

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime; some positions may require rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience maintaining CAE, TRU, L3, and/or FSI full flight simulators.

  • Experience assisting with modifications to simulators, training components, hardware, and software.

  • Associate degree (or equivalent technical training).

Education / Experience

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

This position does offer relocation, depending on candidate eligibility.

Shift

Variable shifts (including 1st, 2nd, and 4th) with possible rotation and occasional nights/weekends.
