Tool Crib Attendant

BIRMINGHAM, AL

Overview

Salary Range $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time

Tool Crib Attendant

Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and consumables with the tool shop.

Track tool usage, calibration schedules, and maintenance requirements in the tool control system.

Issue, receive, and inspect tools to ensure they are in proper working condition and safe for use.

Organize and maintain the tool storage area to ensure cleanliness, accessibility, and compliance with safety standards.

Identify and report missing, damaged, or worn-out tools and assist in procurement processes as needed.

Support production teams by ensuring tools are readily available, properly tagged, and in good working order.

Follow all company policies and safety protocols to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

1-2 year's experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or similar inventory control environment preferred.

Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and aerospace manufacturing processes.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems (preferred).

Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive.

Ability to follow processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Familiarity with hazardous material handling and shipping regulations.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
