The Yard Attendant is responsible for accurately loading out cargo and maintaining terminal records for cargo loaded out/taken in as well as work orders associated with said cargo.
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage and optimize yard operations by coordinating truck movements and cargo loading
  • Operate handheld devices and terminal system to track and update cargo locations, work orders, and equipment types
  • Contribute to process improvement, ensure safety and quality standards
  • Opportunity to train new employees
  • Remain flexible to perform duties as assigned

Job Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Ability to read and understand department SOPs, and ability to quickly learn processes
  • Must be capable of carrying our specific work procedures and directions of management and leads
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational issues
  • Must be capable of meeting/exceeding the required production standards
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Must understand basic math
  • Be motivated, self-directed and detail oriented
  • Must be able to lift, carry and hold items up to 50lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Great communication and teamwork mindset
  • Possess good hand/eye coordination
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions, extreme hot or cold
  • Willing and able to frequently learn new technology and equipment
