Description
As a Test Engineer on our team, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, collaborating closely with a passionate team to ensure the highest quality for our shared mission. You'll be instrumental in designing and executing test strategies for exciting new features, and your contributions will directly impact millions of users. This role will focus on driving, validating, and delivering test solutions. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop critically important test solutions that directly impact the quality of our consumer facing applications. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining and performing end-end test cases (manual and automation). You will drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers. Reporting bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. This role also requires balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically. You will not only dive deep into solving complex problems, but you will also work closely with partners in various disciplines across the company.
Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in resolving complex failures using advanced debugging techniques.

Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Strong time management and multitasking skills.

Familiarity with quality engineering environments and test data pipelines.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and design decisions from a quality perspective.
Experience using Apple's automation framework: XCTest, XCUI.
Experience in Swift/SwiftUI or Objective-C development in test skills.
Experience in one or more scripting languages, such as Python.
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
A strong understanding of unit, integration, and regression test methodologies.
Experience working with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch etc.).
Work within strict deadlines
Collect, analyze, and present results at regular cadence
Proactive at navigating a dynamic environment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating across many participating teams.
Strong problem solving and debugging skills along with a diligent mindset
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
